FAQs

Where was Diamond Pro developed?

Diamond Pro films were developed in Kuwait. They’re made especially with the Middle East region and extreme temperatures in mind.

What is the thickness of Diamond Pro PPF?

We have films that range from 6.5mil to 8mil.

Is extreme heat going to damage Diamond Pro PPF?

No, Diamond Pro was developed in Kuwait, which is one of the hottest locations in the world.

What's the difference between PPF and window tint?

PPF is a clear film applied to painted surfaces like the bonnet, bumper and mirrors to guard against stone chips, scratches and UV fading. Window tint is applied to glass for heat rejection, glare reduction and privacy. Many customers combine Diamond Pro PPF with Diamond Pro Nano Ceramic Window Tint for full coverage.

Which parts of my car should I protect with PPF?

The most common areas are the front bumper, bonnet, wing mirrors and door edges, since these take the most impact from stone chips and road debris. For full protection, a full front end or full vehicle wrap is also available.

Is Diamond Pro PPF the same as a ceramic coating?

No. PPF is a physical film that shields against chips and scratches, while ceramic coating is a liquid sealant that adds gloss and some chemical resistance but no impact protection.

Will Diamond Pro change the colour or finish of my paint?

No, Diamond Pro Gloss is designed to be virtually invisible and preserve your paint’s factory finish. Diamond Pro Matte or Diamond Pro Colour give a different finish while still protecting the paint underneath.

Does Diamond Pro need yearly maintenance?

No, but you can speak to your approved applicator to apply Diamond Pro DP 180 Graphene to enhance the gloss and hydrophobic properties every 6 months FOC (terms apply).

How long is the Diamond Pro warranty?

We have 5-year to 15-year warranties depending on the film you choose.

Does the warranty cover yellowing or discolouration?

Yes, it covers yellowing, cracking, peeling and staining for the duration of the warranty period selected.

Where should I get Diamond Pro applied to my car?

We have approved applicators in each country. Check the Approved Applicators page.

Can Diamond Pro be applied to a new or used car?

Yes, both. Used cars should be properly prepped, corrected and cleaned first for the best result.

How long does installation take?

This depends on coverage and the vehicle. A partial front end can often be done in a few hours, while a full vehicle wrap may take a full day or more.

How should I clean my car after Diamond Pro has been applied?

Don’t wash for 3 [three] days; after that avoid using automatic washers as they can damage the film.

How should Diamond Pro film be removed?

If you decide to remove Diamond Pro from your vehicle, either go back to the original applicators or find an approved applicator in your area.
